My Instructional Design

One would think that all school districts in the Rio Grande Valley would be teaching and using technology in their classroom to its full potential; however, this is not the case in my home of Brownsville, Texas. I'm perplex that in Brownsville a charter high school has such a school district whereas Google apps is not yet taught much less implemented to their high school students. This is mainly due to a lack of school district's support by superintendent, administration and adequate training by teachers. This charter high school is an alternative high school program with most students coming from half-way houses who did not fit well in a public school. Nevertheless, this is inexcusable and Google apps should be used as a great educational tool in technology. I think an instruction design that processes the development and implementation of instructional units of trainings on Google Docs and Google Calendar would be a great way to get the learners started. My plan for this Google instructional design training is to use strategies that would contain cognitive learning, and of course, attitude change, motivation and interest.
