Sir Robinson talk was very entertaining. He is British, good looking with a nice accent and is funny, which made listening easy. Although funny, his message was serious. One thing I realized after listening to his motivational talk was that an educator or individual could use his talk to consciously recognize what essentially is important to oneself to teach in education and future career. To me, the ultimate goal of education is a future in workforce training, enlightenment and empowerment, making oneself better to pursuit their true calling, and development of one's mind for self growth.
Overall, my view of Sir Robinson's talk is that its theme was primarily about the need for creating a personalized education system that customizes education for each individual. In that regard, he was also pointing out the idea that education, by definition, should be fundamentally a personal experience; a lifelong pursuit. I strongly agree and I am a big advocate of the idea. On a personal basis, I always tell my sons to be true to themselves to pursuit education for a career. Also I apply this to the students I meet while presenting trainings: “It is not how you begin that matters, but how you end that counts.” I speak through my personal opinion that a strong foundation in education true to your personal strengths creates leads to a rewarding career.
